Project management wisdom from practitioners and the UCSC Extension in Silicon Valley
Yvonne Burton, president of Burton Consulting International, a New York based consulting firm delivering services including Technology and Management Consulting, Cross-Cultural Training and Business Development to Japanese and American companies.
Ms Burton lived in Osaka, Japan for over 8 years, attending university and then working in education, as a cross-cultural trainer and business consultant to Japanese companies. Upon returning to New York City, she worked in the Technology field in the areas of marketing and business development, online marketing and advertising and as a business analyst and project manager.
As a bridge between two cultures, she works on many diverse business and technology projects for a variety of Japanese and American clients across different industries. She is founder and principal writer of the blog Japan-US Business News, an online forum for ‘practical news’, information and sharing for the Japan -US business community.
She holds a BA degree in International Business and Economics from State University of New York, College at Brockport and an Asian Studies Certificate from the Asian Studies Program at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan.
